Balance Bike for Aidan...

I would really LOVE to win this bike for Aidan...let me know your thoughts on this one...maybe we can carry it at LGB!!! Here's more info on the give-a-way: http://www.5minutesformom.com/6461/balance-bike-giveaway/
I remember when I first learned how to ride a bike without training wheels...my dad told me over breakfast that he would teach me that Saturday morning. I got dressed - jeans and a long sleeved shirt just in case I crashed...but I also had to wear my rollerskating skirt over my jeans so I looked cute... Then I needed some inspiration music...so I had to listen to "Like a Rhinestone Cowboy" before I could be brave enough to lose the training wheels...once I heard it I was all set!
After a few tries I got the hang of it...and I was so happy that my dad had been the one to teach me. Anyone want to share their first bike riding experiences?

California Baby BABY!!!

I am very excited we are now carrying a new line of skincare for our kiddos - California Baby. When I asked my pediatrician what sunscreen I should be using on Aidan he said "well you can't go wrong with California Baby"...so that sealed the deal. We are excited to be offering California Baby in the store and online, so check it out!

We need your help!

Nathan and I were just weeks away from being licensed as foster parents…now, because of budget cuts we are potentially months/years away from making that happen…
(http://illinoisissuesblog.blogspot.com/2009/06/foster-care-children-at-risk.html)

Because of these budget cuts all funding for training prospective foster parents has been suspended. If you have a free minute, please click on the link below to email Gov. Quinn to help us express our concerns regarding these budget cuts. Surely there has to be something else they can do - these children have already suffered by having to be placed in the system - they deserve better than this. Once again, shame and embarassment in Illinois politics!
